In addition to the accommodations listed here, you'll find three modern log cabins for rent on the shore of Lake Billy Chinook at The Cove Palisades State Park. Campgrounds -- Downriver from Sherar's Falls, there are many undeveloped campsites along the Deschutes River. At Lake Billy Chinook, west of U.S. 97 between Madras and Redmond, are several campgrounds. The most developed are the two at The Cove Palisades State Park. Farther west, up the Metolius arm of the reservoir on Forest Service Road 64, you'll find the Forest Service's primitive Perry South Campground. A little bit farther west is the Monty Campground, which is the lowermost campground on the Metolius River's free-flowing waters.
