If the dishes you're served come as a surprise, it'll be the good kind. The chefs constantly vary their menu to take advantage of market conditions and seasonal produce; they also achieve a perfectly balanced mix between inspired international cuisine and traditional Swedish fare. Follow the chef's suggestions and sample the most frequently ordered dish, a skillet-grilled entrecôte (perfectly tender and full of flavor) served with Béarnaise sauce. The rack of lamb arrives aromatically baked and accompanied by grilled sweet potatoes. Other dishes include a juicy grilled trout with root vegetables and a grilled tuna with risotto cooked with a zesty lemon oil. If you arrive for lunch, you can have a lighter meal, such as a freshly made salad, well-stuffed sandwich, or delectable burger. Two desserts are memorable: a chocolate crème brûlée (our favorite) and the blueberry pie. As its name suggests, the environment is like a laid-back living room filled with sofas.
