Various "wild animal parks" and even a "Dinosaur Land" vie for your attention in the Shenandoah. If you're traveling with children, this small zoo is worth a stop. It's a rescue facility, which means owners Mark and Christine Kilby take in unwanted or abused exotic animals, including crocodiles and alligators. The snake collection is one of the largest on the East Coast. Best times to visit are the 11:30am animal encounter show or the 3:30pm venomous snake demonstration from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
