Arriving

By Train -- From Coimbra, line 110 extends west. Three trains a day run to Luso. The one-way fare is 1.80€. Call tel. 808/208-208 for more information.

By Car -- From Coimbra, head north along the Lisbon-Porto motorway -- the most important highway in the country -- until you come to the signposted turnoff for Luso. Head east for another 6km (3 1/2 miles).

Visitor Information

The Luso Tourist Office is on Rua Emídio Navarro (tel. 23/193-91-33; www.jtluso-bucaco.pt). October to June it's open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 1pm and 3 to 5pm. July to September, it's open Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 1pm and 3 to 5pm.
