Frommer's Review
Located on the street level in a century-old private home, tables fill a series of rooms that have welcomed many a famous guest, from Charles Aznavour to Bill Clinton. The four dining rooms are each outfitted in their own style: one with wood panels, one with stained glass, and each lined with some of the 70 oil paintings in the owner's private collection. The owner, Jean-Paul Lacombe, is a challenger to the top chefs of Lyon, serving regional and modern cuisine with innovative flair. His brilliant use of Lyonnais offal may scare some but will please gastronomes. Offerings may include a terrine that incorporates farm-raised pork with foie gras, quenelles of pikeperch, pheasant soup with foie gras and red beans, or lobster with asparagus. The sorbets made with fresh fruits are a perfect ending.
