Frommer's Review
Almost as far away from Nadi as its nearest neighbor, Matamanoa Island Resort, this adults-only property sits beside a wide beach stretching 1.5km (1 mile) on hilly Tokoriki Island. Although it doesn't have Matamanoa's deep sand, once you get past rock shelves along the shoreline, the bottom slopes gradually into a safe lagoon with colorful coral gardens protected by a barrier reef. The resort itself sits on a flat shelf of land backed by a steep hill (a 4km/2 1/2-mile hiking trail leads up to the ridgeline). Lined up along the beach, most of the spacious units have separate sleeping and living areas equipped with wet-bars, and both indoor and outdoor showers. Five luxurious honeymoon units have daybeds under thatched-roofs next to their own plunge pools. A central thatch-topped bar divides the one-room central building into lounge and dining areas. The latter opens to a swimming pool, and guests can take their excellent meals alfresco during fair weather, either by the pool or on private decks by the beach. Other than scuba diving, there are no motorized watersports here.
