Frommer's Review

The Karahé has long been one of the few beachfront hotels in Manuel Antonio. If you stay in one of the more expensive beachfront units, you'll have a newer room with cool tile floors, two double beds, and a small patio. The least-expensive rooms are located just off the reception and offer neither views nor easy access to the ocean. Be aware that if you opt for one of the villas, you'll have a steep uphill climb from the beach; on the other hand, a couple of these have great views. The gardens here are quite lush and have flowering ginger that often attracts hummingbirds. The hotel can arrange a wide variety of tours and charters, including sportfishing ($850/£425 for a full day). Karahé is located on both sides of the road about 450m (1,476 ft.) before you reach Playa Espadilla.
