Hostal Enriqueta
The most charming of the modest hotels in the old quarter of Marbella, the Enriqueta is a classic example of Andalucían architecture, with rooms arranged around a flower-filled central courtyard. Rooms 109, 202, and 208 have balconies overlooking that courtyard. All of the compact, simply furnished rooms have air-conditioning, but guests rarely turn it on because the thick-walled old building tends to stay quite cool. WARNING: Stairs are steep and narrow, and there is no elevator. If climbing is a problem, request one of the four rooms on the ground level.
