Currency Exchange -- The best rates will be had at the PTT (post office), in their new location behind the Tansas store (in from the beach near the Atatürk statue) in the town center. The PTT is open from 8am to 6pm weekdays, but in a pinch you can get decent rates at one of the many döviz (currency exchanges) concentrated along the Kordon near the Atatürk statue.

Festivals -- If you're interested in the maritime character of Marmaris, plan your trip to coincide with the Marmaris Yachting Festival in May or Yachting Week in November.
