Located on the busy rue Prince Moulay Rachid just off Jemaa el Fna, this is a good option for lunch or a cheap sit-down dinner. The outside tables -- if you can grab one -- are a great spot for a coffee-and-pastry breakfast, but you may want to sit inside the air-conditioned cafe once the sun is out in full force. A small mezzanine level at the rear offers privacy, and upstairs you'll find an open courtyard with an enclosed balcony and a few mosaic tables and wrought-iron chairs. While there is no view from this level, the top terrace offers a glorious view of Jemaa el Fna. The fare here is decent rather than exceptional, with the menu spanning the usual range of salads, soups (a bowl of harira Marrakchia for only 10dh), panini and sandwiches, tagines, couscous, and grilled meats, plus they'll rustle up a Moroccan-style hamburger or chicken burger for the little ones. Their fresh juices aren't bad either. A daily three-course menu Marocain offers a choice of dishes and mint tea. The toilets, by the way, are some of the cleanest this close to the square.
