This has become my favorite haven in Marrakech, as it's relatively small and less touristed than the city's other better-known gardens. The garden offers a network of paths through well-maintained beds of daisies and other perennials shaded by olive and palm trees and sprawling bougainvillea. There are also a few park benches; sit for a while and let your senses tune into birdsong rather than the bustling traffic outside. At different times of the day the park is also a social meeting place for students from the adjoining college. Parents bemoaning being in a city with very few public play areas for children will rejoice in the kiddies section complete with dinosaurs and swings sitting atop an oversize sand bed, as well as perhaps the gardens' close proximity to McDonald's and KFC on place de la Liberté.
