The open-air room, coupled with restaurateur Bob Longhi's trademark black-and-white checkered floor, provide a great way to start the day. Breakfasts here are something you want to wake up to: perfect baguettes, fresh-baked cinnamon rolls (one is enough for two people), and eggs Benedict or Florentine with hollandaise. Lunch is either an Italian banquet (ahi torino, prawns amaretto, and a wide variety of pastas) or fresh salads and sandwiches. Dinner (unfortunately the ocean view is now blocked by yet another high-rise) is where Longhi shines, with a long list of fresh-made pasta dishes, seafood platters, and beef and chicken dishes (filet mignon with basil or veal scaloppine). Leave room for the daily dessert specials.
