At first glance this blinding-white complex of arches and turrets may look a bit out of place in tropical Hawaii (it's actually a close architectural cousin of Las Hadas, the Arabian Nights fantasy resort in Manzanillo, Mexico). But once you enter the flower-filled lobby and see the big blue Pacific outside, there's no doubt you're in Hawaii.
This is the place to get your money's worth. For the price of a hotel room, you get an entire suite -- plus a few extras. Each unit in this all-suite luxury hotel has a kitchenette, a living room with entertainment center and sofa bed, a marble wet bar, an oversize marble bathroom with separate shower big enough for a party, a spacious bedroom, and a large lanai that overlooks the pools, lawns, and white-sand beach.
A real plus is the small boutique spa offering the very latest in body work in intimate, relaxing surroundings. Even if you don't stay here, try this spa.
The villas are definitely out of a fantasy. The rich and famous stay in these 2,000-square-foot two- and three-bedroom beach bungalows, each with its own plunge pool and gourmet kitchen.
