On the corner of Hana Highway and Baldwin Avenue, this artists’ collective features distinctive, high-quality crafts. For over 3 decades, the guild’s dozen or so artists have been fashioning exquisite works out of ceramic, glass, wood, mixed media, and natural fibers. Look for the shell-adorned silver jewelry by Gaby Dunn, the intricate woven artwork by Maui native Fiama von Schuetz, and Debra Lumpkins’ traditional Japanese gyotaku, colorful prints made by rubbing tropical fish in ink. (She uses the fresh catch of her spearfisher husband and nontoxic ink, so the fish can be eaten afterward.)
