Bahamasair (tel. 800/222-4262 in the U.S.; www.bahamasair.com) flies in here to a little airstrip. Flights depart from Nassau Wednesday and Friday at 9:15am and take approximately 2 1/2 hours.

From Nassau, a mail boat, MV United Star, makes a stop at Mayaguana. For information, check with the dock master at Potter's Cay Dock in Nassau (tel. 242/393-1064).
