This modern home on a private bay (3km/2 miles from the ferry terminal) was designed to look like one of Mayne Island's old heritage farm homes, but with up-to-date comforts. Each unit has a gas fireplace, patio or balcony, and private entrance, plus nice touches such as robes and complimentary sherry. Two of the rooms have their own private hot tubs. A path from the inn leads to an outdoor hot tub and gazebo, perched just 3m (10 ft.) from the tide line on a rock ledge. From here, the views across the Strait of Georgia are magnificent. Otters frequently come into the bay, and orcas gather just offshore. Deer feel so at home that they sometimes sleep right in the garden. Coach-House is convenient to the Georgina Point Lighthouse. In summer, the water along the small private beach is warm enough for swimming.
