Planning a Trip

Getting There

Following the routes used to reach Zell am Ziller, travelers from Innsbruck transfer at the railway junction at Jenbach. From Jenbach, trains depart every hour for the 1-hour ride south to Mayrhofen. From Mayrhofen many bus lines fan out into the nearby valleys. Unless you're coming from one of those obscure valleys, it's easier to take the train. Mayrhofen is 76km (47 miles) southeast of Innsbruck. For bus and rail information, call tel. 05282/2211.

Visitor Information

The tourist office in the town center (tel. 05285/6760; www.mayrhofen.com) is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to noon, and Sunday 10am to noon.
