Frommer's Review
Abdellatif and Bouchra Jamaï have converted two houses, joined by a small bridge spanning the lane below, into easily the best maison d'hôte in the medina. Entering through a nondescript front door brings you into a ground-floor courtyard and a number of salons. Decorated in earthy reds, oranges, and yellows, it's a communal area for guests to chat and eat, although there are also quiet corners for reading and privacy. A first-floor sitting room has a small library, armchairs, and a fireplace. The rooms are spread out over the top floors of the main house, which was Abdellatif's childhood home, and across to the quieter little "old" house. Abdellatif and Bouchra, both tour guides, have traveled in India, and the decor and furnishings throughout the riad reflect that.
A good option for families is to rent out one floor, called the Masria suite, consisting of two bedrooms and a small living room. For couples, either of the rooftop doubles, though small, are private and romantic. The riad's restaurant offers cuisine that mirrors the two influences of India and Morocco and easily convinces most guests to dine in. Meals can be taken on the Marrakchi ochre-colored rooftop terrace; its shaded upper level is high enough to look down upon most of the medina.
