What greater recommendation can I give you than to say that my sister and her husband stayed here on a visit to Melbourne -- and they absolutely loved it. The comfortable Georgian Court's appearance hasn't changed much since it was built in 1910, and is set in a beautiful tree-lined street. The sitting and dining rooms have high ceilings and offer old-world atmosphere. The guest rooms are simply furnished. Some have en-suite bathrooms; others have private bathrooms in the hallway. One room comes with a queen-size bed and a Jacuzzi. The Georgian Court is a 15-minute stroll through the Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens from the city center, and is also close to the fashion shops of Bridge Road.
