Cater-cornered from the lavish Park Hyatt, and overlooking the Plaza de la Independencia, this hotel is good value in an excellent location. Opened in the spring of 2004, the Argentino offers elegance and comfort at very affordable rates. Forty-four rooms have recently been upgraded; all are furnished with light-wood and black-wood writing desks and chairs, satiny bed covers, and small but sparkling marble bathrooms with showers only. There's also an airy restaurant and an adjacent bar in the bright and expansive lobby. The business center offers free Internet and Wi-Fi access for hotel guests. If you're traveling alone, be sure to ask about their single rates at about 10% off the regular rates. Rates here include all taxes, making it even more of a bargain.
