Planning a Trip

Getting There

Menton has good rail and bus connections. Two trains per hour pull in from Nice (trip time: 35 min.; one-way fare: 4.10€/$5.35), and two trains per hour arrive from Monte Carlo (trip time: 10 min.; 1.95€/$2.55 one-way). For rail information and schedules, call tel. 36-35, or visit www.voyages-sncf.com. RCA (tel. 04-97-00-07-00 or 04-93-85-64-44) runs buses between Nice, Monte Carlo, and Menton, usually around two per hour; the round-trip fare from Nice is 4€ ($5.20).

Many visitors arrive by car on one of the corniche roads. The drive on N7 east from Nice takes 45 minutes.
