For an all-out good time, no other restaurant in the city compares to this one. Come here if you want to immerse yourself in Mexico and join people eating, drinking, singing, and having the time of their lives (live Mexican music plays Tues-Fri nights). Diners enjoy their platters of food amid a glorious din created by jarocho musicians from Veracruz (several groups rove around the restaurant at once). The menu is authentically Mexican, with an emphasis on seafood; specials match the culinary traditions of whichever Mexican holiday is closest. Arrive before 2:30pm for lunch or you'll have to wait in line, which nonetheless will be worth it if you have all afternoon. At night, it's just as festive, but try to make it before 9pm, if you care to avoid the crowd. It's near the corner of Bahía de Santa Bárbara -- take a taxi.
