In the midst of posh Polanco, on the second floor of a small boutique-filled shopping center, sits this traditional Mexican restaurant within a haciendalike atmosphere. Pale-apricot stucco walls, shiny wood floors, and wood-beamed ceilings set off the cozy nooks of immaculately set tables. The menu features specialties from some of the country's best Mexican cooks. For example, there's Marta Chapa's breaded shrimp with sesame, lettuce, herbs, and chiles; cilantro soup by Suzanna Palazuelos; and Patricia Quintana's filet in butter and salsa. The bar is worth a visit on its own, with an impressive selection of premium tequilas, a selection of fine art, live trio music, and a festive cantina atmosphere that's popular among 30- and 40-somethings.
