Frommer's Review

One of the finest hotels in all of Mexico, and a personal favorite, the Four Seasons sets the standard for service with a staff noted for gracious manners. In the style of an elegant Mexican hacienda, the hotel's rooms surround a beautiful interior courtyard -- a veritable sanctuary in this busy city. Although you're only steps from the busy Paseo de la Reforma, the grounds of the eight-story hotel seem more like the quiet countryside surrounding a gracious manor house. Umbrella-covered alfresco dining with colonnaded walkways is found on the far side of the inviting outdoor courtyard, and the traditional English bar also offers courtyard tables.

The huge, airy rooms have high ceilings and are resolutely sumptuous. Each features plush bedspreads, beautiful Talavera lamps and bathroom accessories, Indonesian tapestries, and rich dark-wood furnishings, including a working desk. All rooms have bathrooms with separate shower and tub, dual sinks, and illuminated makeup mirrors. Most rooms face the interior courtyard, two deluxe suites have patios facing the courtyard, and most executive suites (with one to two separate bedrooms) overlook Reforma. About 100 rooms are reserved for nonsmokers. Expert-led private tours to many of the city's historic sites and museums are a unique offering; weekend guests have the option of joining a cultural tour (The weekend cultural programme costs US$58-US$68 depending on the tour. Tours begin at 9am or 9:30am and last 4-5 hours, Sat and Sun only). The Four Seasons lies at the western end of the Zona Rosa, near Chapultepec Park and Polanco and opposite the Hotel Marquís Reforma.

The weekend cultural programme costs $58 or $68 USD, depending on the tour. Tours begin at 9am or 9:30am and last 4-5 hours, Sat and Sun only
