Frommer's Review
If you're into the hot and the hip, and don't mind attitude with your stay, this is your place in Mexico City. I give Habita high points for changing the Mexico City hotel scene. A boutique hotel of modernist design and minimalist interiors, Habita quickly became a preferred hotel in the city's most stylish neighborhood. The white-and-steel room decor is understated, with striking extras like flat-panel TV displays and elegant gray Mexican marble lining the bathrooms from floor to ceiling. Beds are super-comfortable, with down comforters and pillows. Located on the rooftop terrace, the hotel's AREA bar remains among the city's most popular nightspots, despite newer arrivals. The lower level of the terrace features AREA's VIP section, along with a lap pool and small fitness center for guests. Adjacent to the lobby is an appropriately chic restaurant and lounge, AURA, serving fusion cuisine and exotic martinis. Habita belongs to Small Luxury Hotels and Design Hotels.
