Hilton Mexico City Reforma Review

Across from Alameda park, this hotel used to be a Sheraton, and after its change is still the most luxurious option in the Historic Center. The striking marble-filled lobby leads to three outstanding restaurants, including the power lunch spot El Cardenal, and a wine bar. Spacious, modern guest rooms have been refurbished and now include Herman Miller chairs, flatscreen televisions, and work desks. Corner rooms are even larger, and suites include kitchenettes and Jacuzzis. Eastern rooms overlook the Alameda and adjacent Palace of Fine Arts; western rooms have city views. The fitness center is one of the best of any hotel in the city, and includes an indoor pool, a sun deck, and limited spa services. Despite the hotel's role as a convention center, the five-star service remains attentive and personalized. You can easily walk from here to the Palace of Fine Arts and the major destinations in the Historic Center.

Facilities:
4 restaurants; wine bar; concierge; fitness center; Jacuzzi; heated indoor pool; room service; limited spa services

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
