Frommer's Review
The latest in luxury hotels to open in the area, this 210-suite beachfront resort is Le Meridien's first oceanfront resort in the U.S. and brings a nice touch of European-style glitz and glamour to the area and, sorry Donald, but trumps the nearby Trump resort in many ways. All rooms -- there are 126 one-bedroom suites and 80 two-bedroom suites -- feature king-size beds with Egyptian cotton linens and duvet covers, and the latest in technology, including full-size Italian kitchens, flatscreen TVs, wireless Internet access, washer/dryer and a spa quality bathroom with amenities you'll want to take home with you. The gorgeous lobby has a bustling 30-seat bar where people usually hang out when waiting for a table at the delicious Bice Italian restaurant. Service throughout the hotel is impeccable. The hotel's 6,000-square-foot spa is also a hot spot for those seeking pampering, but I prefer the pool area, where an infinity-edged beachfront pool stands out like a supermodel in a crowd of circus clowns. A great spot for families looking for a bit more luxury than usual, Le Meridien has planned activities for both kids and families.
