Golf The region's most famous course is the Moffat Golf Club Course, Coates Hill (tel. 01683/220-020), about 1.6km (1 mile) southwest of the town center. Nonmembers can play if they call in advance except for Wednesday afternoon after 3pm. Greens fees are £22 ($42) per round or £28 ($53) per day during the week. On Saturday and Sunday greens fees are £30 ($57) per round or £36 ($68) per day. The tourist office has a free brochure called Golfing in Dumfries & Galloway.
