Frommer's Review
On the resort's main plaza, opposite the casino, this is one of the world's most famous hotels. The ornate facade has marble pillars, and the lounge has an Art Nouveau rose window at the peak of the dome. The decor includes marble pillars, statues, crystal chandeliers, sumptuous carpets, Louis XVI chairs, and a wall-size mural. Elegant fabrics, rich carpeting, classic accessories, and an excellent restaurant make this hotel a favorite of the world's most discerning travelers. The guest rooms come in a variety of styles, with period or contemporary furnishings. Some units are enormous. Bathrooms are large, with marble and elegant brass fittings, plus tub/shower combinations. Note: The rooms opening onto the sea aren't as spacious as those in the rear. Of the hotel's three restaurants, Le Grill de l'Hôtel de Paris and Le Louis XV are two of Monaco's most highly respected establishments.
