Frommer's Review
This 18th-century country house stands in a large, impressive park about a 10-minute drive from the heart of Montpellier. The house was built by Monsieur and Madame Brousse, who made their fortune as épiciers, or spice merchants. A tranquil choice, it has been skillfully converted for guests. Rooms range from medium-size to spacious, each individually decorated with 19th-century style. Public rooms are decorated like those of a gracious French country house, including loads of antiques, making this an intimate retreat.
