A quiet downtown block in the financial district has been home to this relaxed Parisian-style bistro for over 15 years, hosting businesspeople at lunch and for cocktails after work and mostly tourists from nearby hotels in the evening. Much of the year diners have the option of tables in the heated terrace/garden. The chef isn't interested in being edgy, although he has been known to start out with a trendy amuse of marinated salt cod in porcelain Chinese spoon. Sautéed duck breast is served with armillaire mushrooms and potato purée, and grilled red tuna with parsnip purée. There's a gluten-free vegetarian pasta option. All is brought by an efficient staff working under the steady hand of the witty maitre d'. The cheese selection is good, as is the tiramisu. Solid food without the pyrotechnics.
