Frommer's Review
This isn't very different from a clutch of similar enterprises at this lively end of The Main north of Sherbrooke, including Buonanotte and Le Blanc. It's an erotically charged, high-end undertaking that starts with a hostess at the podium who looks like she just stopped by between runway gigs, continuing with waitresses bringing food that's better than it has to be, and ending with dancing at midnight and lots of hooking up. There's a bar where the activity intensifies after 9pm, and a DJ plays on Friday and Saturday nights. Meals, if that's why you're here, can begin with selections from an oyster bar listing as many as a dozen varieties, but other appetizers are as appealing. One is a thick disk incorporating layers of warm goat cheese, tomato confit, potatoes, and chives. After that, robust but uncomplicated helpings of beef, lamb, venison, ribs, and veal are the rule. A splurge for two is the plateau de mer for C$85 (US$74/£37) or C$145 (US$126/£62) -- platters of iced seafood including clams, mussels, and crab legs.
