Frommer's Review
This compact bistro began life as a celebrator of dairy products (the "cheese and milk" of its name). When that proved too confining, the staff opened up their menu -- quite successfully. Now the cramped corner space is filled nightly with neighborhood regulars, post-grads, and moneyed gourmands from upscale quartiers. They squeeze in around tipsy wood tables to partake of starters like red deer tartare (Québécois don't need euphemisms for their food) and such main dishes as scallops in a cream sauce touched with egg, buttery tuna over pencil asparagus and mushrooms, and crispy rectangles of pork belly with molasses and Brussels sprouts. Given the initial enthusiasm that inspired the resto, be certain to have cheese as one course. The selection is impeccable. Lunch is the best deal, for a fixed price of C$20 (US$17/£8.60).
