Frommer's Review
When the Vogue opened in 1990, it instantly joined the Ritz-Carlton at the top tier of the local luxury-hotel pantheon. Nearly 20 years on, confidence and capability continues to resonate from every member of its staff, and luxury permeates the hotel from the lobby to the well-appointed guest rooms. Feather pillows and duvets dress oversize beds, and huge marble bathrooms are fitted with Jacuzzis -- double-size in suites -- and separate shower stalls. Rooms all have consistent decor, so what you see on the website is what you'll get when you arrive. The hotel's L'Opéra Bar is a two-story room with floor-to-ceiling windows and is open until 2am. For families, Loews offers special kids' menus, free in-room movies, and child-size bathrobes. The only sour note is something common to many Montréal properties in busy neighborhoods: The street noise -- including shrieks from late-night partiers -- sometimes travels to rooms, even on top floors.
Facilities:
Restaurant; 2 bars; 24-hr. exercise room; free access to the Club Sportif MAA gym and pool; children's services; concierge; room service; babysitting

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
