Frommer's Review
Welcome to Montréal, Vegas-style! The hotel offers a bit of old-fashioned pizzazz that others don't, including lunches at the rooftop pool and a cabaret lounge enhanced by a piano player and jazz duos on weekends. It's also home to Thursday's, a singles bar and restaurant with a spangly disco and a terrace opening onto lively rue Crescent. After all that, the relatively serene bedrooms seem downright bland, but they're clean and include good-size bathrooms and high-end bedding. Rooms were being renovated in 2008, so some have benefited from a sleek update (these cost more), while others have the older decor.
Facilities:
2 restaurants; 3 bars; heated outdoor pool; concierge; room service

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
