Frommer's Review
Only a few minutes' walk from the Basilique Notre-Dame and the restaurants and nightspots of Vieux-Montréal, this striking luxury hotel opened in 1991 and was instantly included in the coveted clique of top properties in town. The hotel's tower houses the sleek reception area and guest rooms, while the restored 1888 Nordheimer building contains a bar-bistro. (Take a look at the early-19th-c. vaults below.) Guest rooms are quiet, well lit, and decorated with photographs and lithographs by local artists. The turret suites are fun, with their round bedrooms and wraparound windows, and Club rooms have access to an exclusive lounge serving complimentary continental breakfast and afternoon hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine.
