This romantic luxury inn, housed in an 1882 building facing the waterfront, has an inviting cellar restaurant and a wine bar on the main floor. Polished hardwood floors, exposed brick and stone walls, massive beams, and the original windows define the hideaway bedrooms. Both snacks and full dinners are served on the rooftop terrace, which has unobstructed views of the Vieux-Port -- a particular treat during those summer nights when there are fireworks on the river. A complimentary glass of wine is served each afternoon in a sophisticated lounge off the lobby. Room-service meals are prepared by the same kitchen that serves the fine restaurant Les Remparts, one floor below. The auberge also runs the Lofts du Vieux-Port (www.loftsduvieuxport.com), rentals of suite-like lofts that have kitchenettes and other amenities for longer stays. This is a sister property to the equally esteemed Hôtel Nelligan and Le Place d'Armes Hôtel & Suites.
