Frommer's Review
This tidy little hotel is worth seeking out for its central location and quiet demeanor. The building began life in 1870 as a bank in the Second Empire style, and the interior reflects these stately origins, with a lobby that looks like a Victorian library. Rooms are quite spacious, with tall 4.5m (15-ft.) ceilings throughout, and even the non-suite rooms have good-size areas for sitting and working at a desk. A handful of rooms have whirlpool tubs. Rooms facing the nondescript inner courtyard might not be scenic but are nearly silent and a dream for light sleepers. Three vaults remain from the building's original use as a bank, and one of them has been converted to a small bedroom. Despite its faintly aristocratic air, the hotel gives nods to green living, with energy-saving light bulbs and newspaper recycling buckets in each room.
