Frommer's Review
Montréal's Yiddish Theatre, founded in 1937, is based here. The Centre is a branch of the YM-YWHA Montréal Jewish Community Centres and host to dance and music recitals, occasional lectures, and plays in both Yiddish and English. Recent productions have included Noel Coward's Fallen Angels and the Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre's production of Those Were the Days. Note that the Centre is at a considerable distance from downtown, and the taxi fare is substantial.
