Introduction to Mossel BayTraveling east on the N2, the first sign of the fast-approaching town of Mossel Bay, unofficial entry point of the Garden Route (officially, it starts at Heidelberg), is the sci-fi spectacle of the MossGas oil plant on your left. Although it has a few interesting attractions, the town does not really improve on closer inspection, so don't go out of your way if you're pressed for time.
