My favorite getaway in the area, this romantic lodging started out as a day spa. The beautiful setting outside Mount Rainier's Nisqually Entrance begged for overnight accommodations, so the proprietors started building some here in the late 1990s. They have since put in five of the most chic cabins in the Northwest, in the form of four circular yurts and one square cabin, each with dazzling woodwork, river-rock showers, a private hot tub, and a gas fireplace. They are nicely spread out on the densely forested property, offering a sense of isolation but easy access to Ashford and the park.
