It may not be the most beautiful or luxurious hotel in Mumbai, but this classy business property offers ultra-efficient service, excellent restaurants, and a convenient location in a smart neighborhood not too far from the maelstrom of busy Colaba. At press time much-needed renovations were underway, though the old-fashioned wooden furniture and elegant bonsai trees in the lobby will remain. Standard rooms are being refurbished, so you may want to weigh that against paying double for a room on the Executive Floor (17th), which sports elegant pale tones and modern works of art. City-facing and sea-facing doubles now cost the same, so make your request known in advance.
