This is Schwabing's smaller and less dramatic version of Munich's premier outdoor market, the Viktualienmarkt . It's held every Monday to Saturday from 7 to about 11am, although some die-hard merchants manage to hold out until 1:30pm. Completely decentralized, each individual vendor operates exclusively on his or her own account. Stalls tend to be more laden with bounty in spring, summer, and fall, but a few hardy souls maintain a presence here even in the depths of winter.
