Hotel Bellevue

This is one of the earliest hotels to be built in Mürren, dating from the first part of the 20th century when it attracted mainly British visitors. On the outside, its buttercup yellow-and-brown facade is not particularly distinctive, but once inside, its much-renovated decor is more welcoming, as it's in the rustic alpine "farmer's style." The owners pride themselves on having one of the best views of the major peaks in the area, including Jungfrau. The bedrooms are warmly decorated, well maintained, and comfortable. The on-site restaurant focuses on game dishes, often trapped by or shot by the owners themselves, including venison and quail.
