Frommer's Review
Contrasting sharply with the dark-wood, handicraft-accented public areas of its sister property, The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, the white marble lobby of this 1987-vintage hotel is strongly reminiscent of a U.S. shopping mall (it does indeed have some very fine shops). In other words, this Sheraton could be put down in any tropical resort location, not necessarily in the South Seas. Its large, bright, spacious, and tropically decorated rooms have ocean views from their private terraces or balconies. The four food choices here (none of them inexpensive) include fine dining in the swanky Ports O' Call. Planters Bar is a dimly lit pub with disco dancing after 9pm. There's a private island across the lagoon where guests can swim, snorkel, and sunbathe.
The resort also manages the 184 adjacent condos known as the Sheraton Denarau Villas. Built around a courtyard, one end of which opens to a beachside swimming pool and bar, these are among Nadi's fanciest digs. They come in various sizes, ranging from a single room to a three-bedroom apartment, and are appointed with all the comforts, including full kitchens and washers and dryers.
