Frommer's Review
The creation of American Jim Dunn and Australian George Stock, this little resort sits beachside at Vuda Point, near where the first Fijians came ashore 3 millennia ago. Vuda Point Marina and the country's major oil storage tanks are nearby, but the grounds here are festooned with coconut palms and other tropical plants. The foliage and picturesque waterside setting make the resort's restaurant a favorite weekend lunch retreat for local residents. There's an attractive outdoor swimming pool, and Jim and George have dredged the shallow reef to create a swimming hole and small islet offshore. There's a dive operator at the adjacent marina. The duplex guest bungalows are comfortably furnished with both king-size and single beds, and their bathrooms have whirlpool tubs. The beachfront units also sport charming screened porches. The resort also has four two-bedroom, two-bath villas. Although not as spacious as Sonaisali Island Resort, this is another good choice for a layover.
