Nanaimo's premier fine-dining restaurant serves the city's most up-to-date food in a comfortably formal Old Town Quarter dining room. Chef Daniel Caron pairs European preparations with regional Northwest flavors, as in local clams and mussels in a peach cider broth, and stuffs double cut pork chops with figs and apples. Monday through Thursday, the cafe offers three-course dinners for an unbelievable C$25 (US$20). The huge wine list features many B.C. selections. Live jazz is hosted every Saturday night.
