Glow offers excellent cocktails and tapas in addition to debonair good looks in the city's century-old fire hall. The dining room is dramatic -- 7.5m (25-ft.) ceilings, towering windows, modern art, colorful draperies and curious wood-slat coved ceilings -- and a large menu provides the gastronomic drama. Seared foie gras is served with grilled peaches, and grilled lamb loin comes with licorice jus. Local oysters on the half shell are winners, but 2 days later we were still talking about the grilled pork ribs in thyme tamarind sauce. Tapas here are large -- two'll do ya, though you'll be tempted, as we were, to skip dessert and have more ribs.
