This country B&B on 2.4 hectares (6 acres) offers a rural getaway just minutes from downtown. A stream plays host to beaver, otter, and trout; and local crags are home to pileated woodpeckers and turkey buzzards. Although newly constructed as an inn, the building was designed with quirky angles and rooflines, and is tastefully furnished with antiques. Each bedroom has a balcony and a private en suite bathroom. At breakfast, you'll learn what Pepper Muffin refers to: savory corn muffins flecked with jalapeño pepper. Bike trails and lakes are accessible nearby.
