This looks like an unlikely place for a meal. Under management of the Nara Hotel and housed in the Nara Prefecture Public Hall, which looks like some kind of modern temple building at the east end of Nara Park, this restaurant would be rather ordinary if it weren't for one thing: a glass wall overlooking an expanse of lawn and manicured trees. It offers limited main courses like fried prawns with tartar sauce and lighter fare like spaghetti and curry rice from an English-language menu, as well as daily specials and a Japanese teishoku (set meal).
